🔥 Strategy GuidePerfect Bake Timing: Never Burn a Pie Again

The Bake station is where most pies are won or lost. The needle looks simple on day one, but by day five it flies. Here is how the best bakers keep every pie golden.
Watch the rhythm, not the needle
The needle moves at a constant speed, bouncing between the ends of the bar. Instead of chasing it with your eyes, count its rhythm: left... right... left... right. Once you feel the beat, you can predict when it will enter the green zone before it gets there.
Tap slightly early
There is always a tiny delay between your brain saying "now!" and your finger tapping. Aim for the moment the needle touches the front edge of the green zone rather than its center — your natural reaction delay will land it right in the middle.
Undercooked vs burnt
If you stop before the zone, the pie comes out pale and raw. Past the zone, it turns dark and burnt. Both cost points, but you still earn partial credit based on how close you were, so a near miss is much better than a panic tap on the wrong side.
Later days get faster
Every new day increases needle speed and shrinks the green zone. Do not panic — the rhythm trick still works, you just count faster. Many players find days four and five easier once they stop staring and start counting.
